Osaf Ahmed, M.D.

Dr. Ahmed is a board certified internal medicine physician, treating patients just entering adulthood to those in their senior years. He graduated in 1987 from King Edward Medical College in Pakistan and completed his residency in internal medicine in 1999 at Staten Island University Hospital, Staten Island, New York. After that he completed his Primary Care Fellowship and he served as Chief Resident for one year at Staten Island University Hospital.
Dr. Ahmed has experience in rural practice; first in Springerville and then Marana for seven years, where he also served as Medical Director from 2006 through 2009. He also trained Nurse Practitioner students from the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, and Northern Arizona University during his stay in Marana. From Marana he went to the VA Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona where he served as Hospitalist/ Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, training and teaching young physicians from the University of Arizona.
Dr. Ahmed believes in educating his patients so they will be empowered to take ownership of their own well-being with open communication. Dr. Ahmed’s practice philosophy is to work with his patients on a healthy lifestyle and preventative measures.
